IT'S hard to believe anyone would mistreat these beautiful lurcher puppies but they are believed to have spent the first weeks of their lives in terrible conditions.
Kerry Flood, manager at Barnsley Animal Rescue Charity, said the 15-week-old pups were in a shocking condition when they arrived.
She said they were very underweight with sores on their legs and yellow-stained fur believed to be from laying in their own urine and faeces.
One of the pups, Echo, had a broken leg when he arrived and had to have it amputated.
The pups were offered to staff in one of BARC's charity shops - the owner said he would drown them if the charity didn't take them on.
If you can give a forever home to one of the puppies contact 07534982314 or 01709 876832 between 11am and 3pm.
