BRAMPTON could host competitive BMX events thanks to a fresh funding boost.
Track resurfacement, a storage unit and a starting gate are all set to be installed at the track, on Moorbridge Crescent, after a grant of £24,777 was given to Brampton Bierlow Parish Council from Barclays bank.
David Hudson, clerk to Brampton Bierlow Parish Council, said the track had been very successful since it opened in 2008.
He said: "The investment will help to maintain its attraction to the local community whether it is being used by experienced riders or those new to the track."
