BARNSLEY could be getting its own version of Glastonbury - every single weekend.

Last month businessman Wayne Hadfield was ordered by the council to close down a car park he was operating next to Barnsley College in Old Mill Lane - so he's changed his plans for the land and has issued notice of application for a new licence to allow live music outdoors on Saturday and Sunday from 11am until 11pm.

He's also applied for the sale of alcohol to be consumed on the premises from 11am to 11pm.

Mr Hadfield, 49 of Croft Farm, Willowbank is so confident that his application will be granted he's already planned his opening festival.
