NEW mother Kirsty Brooke was told by midwives her son would be a big baby but she never guessed he'd weigh a whopping 12lbs 10oz.
Kirsty, 26, of Central Drive, Royston, was told at her 35 week scan her baby would weigh about 10lbs and would need to be delivered by Caesarean section.
But both her and partner Kieran Lockwood, 22, got a shock when midwives told them the weight.
Carter Ky Nigel Lockwood, born on Wednesday morning, is thought to be the biggest baby ever born at Barnsley Hospital.
