IT’S been a proud week in the Naval history-steeped history of the Dennis family.
Layla Dennis, 23, won the award for best unit at The Sun Military Awards along with her comrades of the HMS Bulwark.
The award came in the same week that her younger brother Nathan, 18, joined the Navy.
Layla celebrated in style at the star-studded awards ceremony at London’s Guildhall, receiving a kiss on the hand from Rod Stewart who was in attendance along with wife Penny Lancaster and fellow celebrities including Sir Ranulph Fiennes, Susanna Reid, Boris Johnson, Jeremy Clarkson, Peter Andre and Judge Rinder - Layla managed to grab ‘selfies’ with quite a few.
