A BARNSLEY school is inviting parents and their children to attend special classes together so families can better understand what goes off in school.
The Family First day at Outwood Academy Carlton (formerly Carlton Community College) will feature a range of classes from which families can choose, including English, PE, science, art, French and resistant materials.
“We now want to open our doors to parents and showcase some of the teaching and learning strategies we use on a daily basis, through a series of sessions delivered by our teachers,” said a school spokeswoman.
“We believe that experiencing some of our ‘lessons’ with your child will create stronger connections between our school and the community as well as providing you with a greater understanding of a child’s daily school life at Carlton.”
It’s on February 27 with sessions from 10am - when breakfast will be served. Call 728494 to book a place.
