SWIMMING 100 lengths in one hour and 35 minutes is difficult after only six weeks’ training - especially when you’re only six.

Chloe Cowlishaw, of Springwood Road, Hoyland, not only completed the swim, but she managed to raise £1,400 in aid of her sister.

Chloe’s sister, Isabelle Hope Pinder, three, was given a 50-50 chance of survival at birth and had an operation at Sheffield Children’s Hospital when she was born to correct a hole in her diaphragm - a condition called congenital diaphragmatic hernia.

Isabelle has to have regular check-ups, and will do for the rest of her life.

Chloe swam for CDH UK, a charity offering support to those affected by the condition.
