A ROYSTON youngster has used his design skills to seal a trip to Wembley for the Reds’ big day next month.
Six-year-old Thomas Heselden, who goes to Royston St John’s Primary School, was the winner of a Barnsley-wide design-a-shirt competition organised for the upcoming Johnstone’s Paint Trophy final on April 3, beating off more than 800 competitors.
His impressive achievement meant the hallowed trophy stopped off at the Vicarage Lane school last Friday along with Barnsley boss Paul Heckingbottom, who also gave youngsters a coaching session, ahead of the Oxford United clash on April 3.
