HUNDREDS of Barnsley people have been put at risk of identity theft because their personal details and signatures have been out on the internet by Barnsley Council.
The planning department is scanning residents' application forms onto the authority's website, which can be accessed from anywhere in the world.
Apart from signatures, the forms also contain home, mobile and work phone numbers, addresses and a description of the project people are seeking permission for.
