Barnsley sculptor Graham Ibbeson cannot release a photograph of the full statue until permission has been granted by the Yorkshire and England bowler's family.
But Graham did permit this rear view of the legendary cricketer in full flight. After all Fred said a cricketer had to have a broad backside to have the physical power to be a genuine fast bowler.
Graham added:"Everyone says I have got the pose and face right - even down to the curled lip." The little girl who is helping her granddad is four-year-old Poppy Abraham.
The statue will go on display in Skipton where Fred lived.
