A PINT with their pals.

A group of young men is having a good time on holiday at Blackpool during Barnsley Feast Week in 1964.

The photograph was loaned to us by Barrie Betton who has named them as, left to right: Gary Mathers (standing), Barrie Betton, Clive Scargill, Brian Barnard, Peter Woodrow, Billy Fynn, Tommy Barron, John Rushforth.

Mr Betton has also supplied a photograph, which is printed in this week's Chronicle, of a group of green-fingered schoolboys who were in the gardening class at Littleworth School about 1956. On the back row there is: Raymond Deakin, Brian Lodge, Norman Oldham, Dennis Beachill, Terry Addy. In the middle row there is: Michael Wogan and Michael Stone and on the front row Cyril Wilson, Jimmy Threadgold and Barrie Betton.
