FOUR people have been arrested in connection to the death of a man following a street fight.
At 8.36pm on Saturday night, officers were called to reports of a disturbance on Knoll Close in Stocksbridge, with one person reportedly being in possession of a knife.
Ex-Kirk Balk pupil Lee Wesson, 34, had been arrested before being taken to hospital but died on Monday as a result of his injuries.
The force have arrested four people in connection to with Lee’s death, all of whom have been bailed pending further enquiries.
A 35-year-old woman, and two men aged 30 and 37, have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.
While a 30-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and perverting the course of justice.
In a statement in memory of Lee, his family said: “Lee was a loving father, son, brother, uncle and grandson who will be sadly missed by many.
“As a family we request that our privacy be respected at this extremely difficult time.”
A police investigation has been launched and are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to get in touch.
