THE force is strong with a new specialist shop set to open.

Ben Potter, 45, from Royston, has been running his online business ‘Bunker’, which sells Star Wars merchandise exclusively, for the last ten years.

When he noticed a building for sale on Midland Road, he decided that the opportunity was too good to miss - and it was time to open his first brick and mortar shop.

The shop will be a veritable collectors’ haven, with hard-to-find vintage and modern merchandise spread over two floors.

The upstairs features vintage toys from 1977 to 1985 and downstairs, toys from 1995 to present.

The grand opening is set to take place in plenty of time for Christmas shopping, on November 29.

It will have a Return of the Jedi theme, complete with cosplaying.

Merchandise will range anywhere from £10 to between £4,000 and £5,000, depending on the rarity of the products.
