A WOMBWELL company has had a series of Transit vans broken into using what they suspect to be a 'master key' obtained online.

NU-Gas on Hemingfield Road had five vans broken into and approximately £6,000 worth of tools stolen at around 8pm on Monday night.

After some research, NU-Gas managing director Raymond Murdoch believes the thieves may have used a device bought from the internet to break into the vehicles.

Raymond said: "We did some research and you can buy a master key online for £85 on eBay that will let you get into Transit vans. On YouTube we found a video showing you how to do it in 39 seconds.

"You put this key into the door lock and it finds the combination for you and unlocks it.

"One chap has handed his notice in. He was incensed that he lost his livelihood. It was taken from him in a few hours."

Anyone with information is asked to contact the police on 101 quoting incident number 133 of November 4.
