A JAZZ club is hoping to raise £5,000 for a year's worth of tuition, workshops and continued survival.
The Barnsley Youth Jazz Association, based at Netherwood ALC, has submitted a bid to the Aviva Community Fund to help ensure its continuing existence.
Andy Bramall, booking secretary for the BYJA, said it is a not for profit organisation and aims to give everyone the chance to play an instrument.
The BYJA currently has 80 members, aged between six and 18, and 30 older members aged from 18 to 72, who help the younger ones with mentoring and tuition.
You can support the BYJA by registering at community-fund.aviva.co.uk and voting for its bid.
