A Barnsley couple have promised to love each other ‘for batter for worse’.
Hayley and Dan Perry’s marriage got off to a ‘frying start’ when they had fish and chips for their wedding breakfast.
The couple, of Templin Close, off Sheffield Road, married on Friday at Barnsley Register Office and had their reception at home. But the whole bridal party then walked to Park Road Fisheries for their wedding breakfast.
Hayley, formerly Deighton, 27, said: “It was just ‘us’. We’re not fancy. We haven’t any airs and graces. We decided we just wanted to go and eat our favourite food and have a good time.
“It was fantastic.” The couple held a small party on Friday with their close family and friends but are planning a bigger celebration in a couple of months.
