POLICE are appealing for information following a reported sexual assault in the town centre last October.
It’s reported that at 10.42pm on Saturday, October 11, a man approached a woman on Eldon Street, before sexually assaulting her and leaving the scene.
It is further reported that the man walked to a taxi rank in the nearby area and got in a taxi around 11.15pm.
A police spokesperson said: “Officers have been conducting several enquiries since the report, including speaking to potential witnesses, obtaining statements, and trawling through CCTV.
“They are now releasing the image of a man as it is believed he holds vital information that will help in their investigation.
